We are Jennifer and Stephen McDougal, and our journey started in 2025, rooted in our shared love for rockhounding and the natural beauty of Oregon. We were captivated by the vibrant sunstone, our state's official gemstone, and decided to dedicate ourselves to sharing its unique sparkle with the world.

This led us to purchase our own mining claim in Plush, Oregon, where we personally hand-mine every sunstone you see in our collection. This hands-on, ethical approach allows us to ensure our practices are gentle on the earth and truly sustainable. We believe in being stewards of the land we work on, and that commitment is at the core of our business.

In addition to our Oregon sunstones, we've traveled to Montana to personally hand-source exquisite sapphires. By visiting the mines ourselves, we build relationships with fellow miners and guarantee the high quality and responsible sourcing of our materials.
